TIPS 106: J'方丈記'
1212年に成立した随筆。 作者は鴨長明(かものちょうめい)。 漢字とカタカナ、漢字とひらがなの組み合わせが 使われている和漢混淆文で書かれた作品として 有名。 兼好法師(または吉田兼好)の徒然草、 清少納言の枕草子と合わせて、 日本三大随筆と呼ばれることもある。
ちなみに随筆とは、作者が見聞きしたことや その時思ったことなどを気ままに書き連ねた もののことと。 すなわち方丈記とは、鎌倉時代にできた エッセイなのである。 ……などなど、きちんと覚えて、 受験には正々堂々と望みましょう。 くれぐれも、くるみのような悪さを企てないように。
TIPS 106: E'The Ten Foot Square Hut'
A book that was published in 1212. Penned by Kamo no Chomei. A famous work that joined together kanji, katakana, and hiragana, combining both Japanese and Chinese characters. Together with Kenkou Houshi(also known as Yoshida Kenkou)'s Essays in Idleness and Sei Shonagon's The Pillow Book, it has been called one of Japan's Great Three Writings.
By "writings", it means a list of the author's personal observations, thoughts, and so on at the time they were written. With this information, we can say with confidence that The Ten Foot Square Hut is an essay written during the Kamakura period. ... And so on and so forth, but what's most important to remember is that we hope you take your entrance exams fair and square. Please don't try to pull a stupid stunt like Kurumi did.
