Hello! 電話ごしに怒鳴る黄泉木。%K%P Yomogi yelled into the phone. 黄泉木「我々はＨＡＬ１８便の乗客だ」%K%P We're passengers from HAL18. 黄泉木「墜落した旅客機だよ！ ニュースでやってるだろ！？」%K%P The plane that went down! It's been reported in the news, right? 黄泉木「行方不明？ そういうことになってるのか？」%K%P Whereabouts unknown? Hey, did you tell them everything?! 黄泉木「言うべきことは言ったつもりだ」%K%P I tried to tell them everything they needed to know. 黄泉木「ただ……途中で切れてしまったんだ」%K%P It's just... we got cut off in the middle. 黄泉木「向こうの返答が聞けなかった」%K%P I didn't get a chance to hear their reply. 黄泉木「途中から電波状況が悪くなって、ほとんど応答が聞き取れなかった」%K%P The static was really bad; I could barely make out what they were saying. 黄泉木「それどころか……きちんと内容が伝わったかどうかも、わからない」%K%P In fact... I'm not even sure that what I said made it through to them clearly at all. 黄泉木「僕の言葉を、どこまで聞き取ってくれたのか……」%K%P Exactly who got my message... 黛「それって、場所とか私達のこととか、全然伝わってないかも、ってこと？」%K%P You mean our location, the fact we're all trapped here... none of it went through? 黄泉木「うむ……自信がない」%K%P Yeah, I'm not sure it did either. 黛「ちょっと！ どうにかしなさいよ！ なんとかしなさい！！」%K%P Wait! Then think of something! Do something!! 黛「もう一度……もう一度かけるのよ！」%K%P One more time... call them again! 黄泉木「無理だよ、黛……」%K%P It's impossible, Mayuzumi... 黄泉木「さっき繋がったのだって、奇蹟みたいなものだったんだから」%K%P The fact that we connected a moment ago was nothing short of a miracle. 黄泉木「奇蹟は２度、起きたりはしない」%K%P That miracle isn't going to happen twice. 黛「貸しなさい！ 私がやるわ！」%K%P Hand it over! I'll do it! そして黛が電話を奪い取ると、リダイヤルボタンを押した。%K%P Lin grabbed the phone and pressed the redial button once again. 黛「繋がるわ……繋がるのよ……きっと……」%K%P It'll go through... it'll go through... I just know it will... 黛「繋がらなくっちゃ……困るのよ」%K%P If it doesn't... then it'll be a really big problem. こころ「………………」%K%P ......... 黄泉木「………………」%K%P ......... ゆに「………………」%K%P ......... 黛「繋がりなさいよ……どうしたのよ……どうなってるのよ……」%K%P Please go through... come on... What's wrong? What happened...? 黛「繋がってよ……」%K%P Go through... 黛「お願い……」%K%P Please... 黛「お願い……」%K%P Please... 黛「お願い……だから…………」%K%P Please... because...... やがて黛は、電話を握ったまま泣き崩れた。%K%P With the phone still in her hand, Mayuzumi eventually collapsed to her knees with tears in her eyes. 黛「うぅ……うぅ……」%K%P Uu... uu... こころ「黛さん……」%K%P Mayuzumi-san... 私は黛の肩に手を添えた。%K%P I laid a supporting hand on her shoulder. 彼女の肩は細かく震えていた。%K%P Her shoulders were quivering. 黄泉木「祈ろう」%K%P Pray. 黄泉木「あとは祈るしかない」%K%P All that's left to do is to pray. 黄泉木「僕らのことが、きちんと伝わったと信じて」%K%P And believe that our message got through properly. 黄泉木「きっと助けに来てくれる」%K%P They're coming to help us for sure. 黄泉木「そう信じよう」%K%P Believe in that. 黄泉木の言葉は心強かったが、黛の慰めにはならなかったようだった。%K%P Even though Yomogi's words were hopeful and inspiring, they did nothing to comfort Mayuzumi. 彼女は電話を置くと、ベッドの方へとフラフラと歩いていった。%K%P Putting down the phone, she stumbled slowly toward the bed. 毛布をかぶり、押し黙ってしまう。%K%P Wrapping herself in her blankets, she went completely silent. いや、何かをブツブツと呟いている。%K%P No, she was muttering something repeatedly under her breath. このままでは気がふれてしまうかも知れない。%K%P If things keep going like this, she may just lose her mind. 私は黛のことが心配になり、彼女の側に近寄っていった。%K%P Getting more and more worried about her, I moved closer beside her.
