The wave function is a function of space coordinates and time that describes the current state of a particle.%N
It satisfies the Schrödinger equation and possibly the Dirac equation,
and proves the wave property of quantum particles.%N
From the square of its absolute value, it can give the existing probability of a particle.%N
In this sense, the wave function is referred to as the probability amplitude.
