Seifuku no Ojisama
Seifuku no Ojisama is a mobile (Android & iOS) otome visual novel released in 2012.
This translation project is initially meant for the Android version only.
Plans for the translation started to take form when a group of individuals at Broken Forum decided to unite and make it happen.

Each character has:
108 scripts for normal route (including free and cash CG scenes)
33 scripts for free endings (3 ends, modifier is the parameter built through choices during the regular story)
?? scripts for cash ending (1 end, modifier item is sold at the in-game store)
1 script for event epilogue story (as of April/2013)

Each script must not exceed the original file's size. It may be shorter though.
Due to the UTF-8 encoding, each single Japanese character is equal to 3 Roman characters.
Example: "しらない" (4 Japanese characters) shouldn't be translated into "duno" (4 characters), but rather as "I don't know" (12 characters) since it fits the size allowed.
Linebreaks are inserted by typing "[r]" (no quote marks).
If translators do not use breaks, the text will be broken automatically when it reaches the end of the window, which happens after 32 characters. Since this can cause words to be trimmed, it's better to mark such breaks by ourselves.
Likewise, each window can only hold 3 lines of text. If a translator needs new windows, just duplicate the "@ lines" which came before your current dialogue and write after them - this should generate a new window looking the same as before.
Lines starting with "@" are programming calls and should not be altered in any way.
Lines starting with ";" are comments and can be omitted to save more character space regarding the script's limit.
Choice branches looks like this:
@select1 graphic= (...) @select2 graphic= (...) @select3 graphic= (...) @selectendThey are followed by the three answers, each one starting and ending in a row of black squares.
As fas as it's known, there is no significant branch which affects late-story events besides the route ending.
