20/09/2011 Betatesting the last chapter along with the installer is in progress. --Izmosmolnar 03:28, 20 September 2011 (CDT)
10/09/2011 The project's editing should be completed soon and we're all aiming for an early October release soon after it's done, likely less than a month away. Please look forward to it and thank you for waiting. --Izmosmolnar 11:56, 10 September 2011 (CDT)
19/08/2011 We deeply regret to inform that the BGM Composer of YU-NO (moreover EVE and Desire), Ryu Umemoto has passed away two days ago in a not yet known cause. We truly hope he may rest in peace, and the brilliant music he composed will live on forever.
It's truly sad news for another reason too, as he seemed to look forward to this translation project, but regretfully we couldn't fully complete it before his departing. --Izmosmolnar 09:31, 19 August 2011 (CDT)
29/05/2011 The last two normal routes have been finished for editing at last. Now comes the main dish, the hardest parts of the game with the last chapter. Hopefully we'll see that progressing in an equally decent pace and we may enter the finish line of the project. --Izmosmolnar 06:50, 29 May 2011 (CDT)
15/04/2011 After various events happening Mio's route is finally edited more or less. Kanna's and Kaori's route will likely be a bit faster as they share majority of their lines, and they are both a lot shorter than the one we finished now.
Also, we actually did manage inserting a few Saturn exclusive CGs (about 10 or so with variations included). The ones we added were fullscreened cgs, so they don't look too bad after modifying them to the desired resolution/color palette, and thus most of them will be used in the Saturn exclusive scenes we added. Please look forward to them. --Izmosmolnar 05:12, 15 April 2011 (CDT)
20/01/2011 Pace has been a bit slower lately so we had to change editors once again (let us hope for the last time), thus Balcerzak said he likes the game so much already that he would be pleased to edit it. He has been started working on it in his pace, and he promised he puts in a few hours every night when he can. Because we'd want to keep consistency he'll start from the beginning of Mio's route. Let's cheer him on.
Regarding news of the technical side of things:
We have successfully integrated Sayless' scenario into the main game. This is a story involving her, which takes place in the last chapter, and was released on a Special Floppy Disk originally for the PC98 edition (Saturn release has this integrated by default, and normally the Windows release would have it via the Extras menu in the main title after clearing the game). It works splendidly and I'm very pleased that it was possible to integrate it because it's really sweet.
Additionally, Kingshriek found a way to include the Saturn exclusive scenes in our translation, so please look forward to those. That sadly doesn't include Saturn exclusive CGs (as I mentioned in the interview below they are of too small resolution, and this way they would look odd to be used), but rather those scripts which weren't present in PC98/Windows. As always thank you for your continuous support. --Izmosmolnar 04:33, 20 January 2011 (CST)
11/09/2010 Ayumi's route is edited as of today. --Izmosmolnar 08:42, 11 September 2010 (CDT)
21/09/2010 In the case anyone might be interested, Aaeru made interviews with most of our active staffmembers as a part of that "Index (Capture 2010)" project he's in the process of making.
You can read Phar's here: 1, Spin's here: 2, and Kingshriek's plus Izmos's here: 3. --Izmosmolnar 12:33, 21 September 2010 (CDT)
06/08/2010 As of today all the normal routes are translated, which has also put the translation progress over 80%. Phar will move onto the epilogue chapter now, but since those have tremendously less shared text, it'll normally progress somewhat slower than the pace we showed here in the past month or two, and because he's going to rest a bit now and take it easier for a while.
In the meanwhile our new editor is about halfway done playing the first route, and he'll start editing Ayumi's route after completing Mitsuki's. We'll see how fast the editing progress is going to move once he started.
With the editing so far behind, we likely won't do a partial patch after all, since chances are high by the time the main routes are going to be edited, translation will be finished entirely, and due to other reasons. Thank you for your continuous support. --Izmosmolnar 20:40, 6 August 2010 (CDT)
26/07/2010 This week's progress was at the speed of light. Only 30% left to translate. --Izmosmolnar 16:11, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
17/07/2010 And two more milestones have been reached today, because we went over the 60% mark in translation, and more importantly, because Phar finished the monumental task of completing all the 170 files which makes up Mio's route! Thus we only have one and a half of the normal routes left (Kaori's route can't be called a full route, since it's like 60/70% the same byte by byte as Kanna's). Due to this structure, we'll attempt to handle those two routes together next. Unfortunately editing has been at standstill for a good while, so I'll have to look into trying to gather a new
slave... lucky soul, who'll have the opportunity to join us in the effort. Thanks for your support. --Izmosmolnar 20:26, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
05/06/2010 The translation is over the 50% point. Things started to slow down a bit as Dan has IRL issues,
and because we need more people to motivate Phar :) . Also, Kingshriek has hacked proportional support into the engine, so the text will be displayed differently than it was in the prologue patch. --Izmosmolnar 14:03, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
13/03/2010 And as of today Phar has translated Ayumi's route too in its entirety. Next target is going to be the longest one, Mio's route. In the meanwhile, the editing phase for Mitsuki's route is also coming along nicely, and we'll be done in a few days. --Izmosmolnar 15:23, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
22/02/2010 Passed the 40% milestone. --Izmosmolnar 23:22, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
20/01/2010 Minor update indicating that the translation progress is over 30%. --Izmosmolnar 04:07, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
31/12/2009 Mitsuki's route is entirely translated, thanks to Phar who quickly managed to finish the translation, about 6 hours before 2010 arrives. Great job! He'll be moving onto Ayumi's route next.
As we indicated earlier, there aren't going to be public patches for the individual main routes, as we'd like to release the main routes altogether once they are entirely done. Happy New Year once again. --Izmosmolnar 17:23, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
27/12/2009 Small update that more than 20% of the game is translated currently. Happy New Year to everyone! --Izmosmolnar 22:58, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
26/11/2009 Prologue is fully edited and QC'd. Expect a prologue patch in a few days after the staff betatest phase. --Izmosmolnar 07:13, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
13/11/2009 Thanks to everyone's efforts, the prologue is fully translated now. However please be patient, it's going to take a few weeks to get it all ready for a teaser patch. Currently, we don't plan to release partial patches per the normal routes, as we don't want to limit the fun and the freedom the game-system offers. So the next partial after the teaser patch will be the Main Routes partial. In the meantime, Dan will be moving on to translate Kanna's route, and Phar will be finishing Mitsuki's first. --Izmosmolnar 03:48, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
07/11/2009 Some good news: After finishing the game, Phar too has decided that he definitely wants to translate Koihate YU-NO. Probably things are going to pick up regarding progress soon. He'll be focusing on the prologue first too, so we can get a teaser patch out whenever that's done. On a different news, the voicepatch is working properly now, but Kingshriek would like to try a few things before deeming it release-ready (saving HDD-space, looking into the possibility to correct some of the odd default bugs in the Saturn voices etc). --Izmosmolnar 13:53, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
16/10/2009 I think it's worthy to warrant an update that we have ~33% of the prologue translated. --Izmosmolnar 11:39, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
09/10/2009 LoSs is done with the System files we needed. He'll be doing the prologue's files going forwards from P01_3.MST when he has some freetime~. --Izmosmolnar 01:35, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
07/10/2009 Thanks to everyone for the various translation contributions. We really appreciate them.
Regarding translations: Danshyu is started translating from P33_1.MST backwards in the prologue section, while LoSs will translate the whole system part when he has some free-time to spare.
There's a tiny-small favor we'd like to ask from the other translation-contributors:
Please indicate it to us which script you are fancying to work on next. The most preferable way would be to edit the next script and leave a comment like " //I'll be working on that next. [Name]" for example. Thanks in advance~. --Izmosmolnar 10:27, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
