TIPS 077: J'タイムスリップ'

われわれが認識しうる時間軸から外れ、
瞬時に過去や未来へと移動すること。
タイムトリップ、タイムリープなどともいわれる。
ＳＦの父と呼ばれるイギリスの小説家
Ｈ．Ｇ．ウェルズの著書『タイム・マシン』にて
一般に広められた概念。

仮にタイムスリップが実現しても答えが出ない、
タイムスリップ独自の矛盾である、
タイムパラドックスが発生する危険を
はらんでいるので、タイムスリップは、
その実現方法を模索するよりは、
ＳＦ小説の題材として楽しむ方が賢いといえそうだ。

TIPS 077: E'Time Travel'

To escape from the time axis that we are in,
and move to the past and/or future.
There are several different names for this, such as a time trip, a time rip, or a time slip.
If we were to categorize the type of time travel Makoto felt he was experiencing, it would be a "time slip".
The general idea of this was propogated by the novel
"The Time Machine", written by English author H.G. Wells,
"The Father of Science Fiction".

Even if, for argument's sake, there was a clear answer on whether or not time travel
is possible, because of the inconsistencies of the characterstics of time travel,
the danger of a time paradox is still very present.
As a result, sci-fi novels seem to enjoy exploring different methods and solutions
on how time travel could be possible.
