スパコン
スーパーコンピューターの略。
並列処理機能などの採用によって大量の
データの超高速処理を実現したコンピューター。
１秒間に約１０の１２乗回の計算が
できる能力（2003年現在）をもつ。
身近なところでは、日本各地の
気温・気圧・雲の動きをスパコンで計算して、
未来の天気を予測するために使われている。
